D N Specialist Thermo-forma

The DNSSE thermo-forma is a high quality heating wand for use on plastics and hygienic boards. The DNSSE Thermo-forma will give a straight thermal bend on sheets up to 3 meters in length. It has been carefully designed in consultation with engineers to meet the stringent requirements for on-site use

The thermo-forma comes with an aluminium detachable cover which protects the blade and seals the unit against the elements to IP54 levels.

Directions

Connect one end of the lead supplied to the Thermo-forma and the other to a suitable 110V site approved transformer.

Turn the temperature control fully anti-clockwise and ensure the device is turned off.

Connect power to the transformer and wait 30seconds.

After thirty seconds, turn on the Thermo-forma and adjust the temperature to the required setting. It may take several minutes for the device to heat the blade to the required temperature. This period will alter depending on the environmental conditions.

Once the correct temperature has be achieved place the sheet to be formed across the blade. When a heated line appears along the plastic remove plastic and bend to desired angle. Holding in place until the plastic has cooled and holds the required position.

  • This device should only be used by full competent operator.
  • In use this device will become extremely hot and care should be taken when in use or when being handled!
  • Under no circumstances should this device be left unattended!
  • Ensure barriers are present when used in a public place.
  • Clear warning signs must be displayed to inform personnel the device is in use and it should not be approached.
  • When moving or adjusting the position of this device an insulated tool or glove should be used.
  • Allow time for the device to cool down before storing or transporting.
  • If the lid is fitted whilst the device is hot the lid will become hot too!
